abalone paua pearl pendant Exclusive to New Zealand from our shellfish paua (abalone), these cultured mabe blue pearls have the most stunning colours. We made this pendant as a surprise special birthday present in gold and palladium with a hammered finish. The nylon wire gives the illusion of the pendant floating. maori influenced fish hook pendant Maori influenced rather than a traditional deign. Hei matau is the fish hook symbol. It represents a safe journey as well as good luck. The brief for this client was to use her two pearls and create a pendant in a similar theme to her favouritr pendant, so that she had options of what to wear. Often being given limitations in a design brief makes us think smarter. She gave us a free reign as to what the design would be. baby pearls growing on a black pearl Grandma had a Tahitian black pearl she wanted made into a pendant for a special grandaughter. Our commission was to make the pendant without being too 'over the top' but tasteful. The baby pearls on the surface were something special so we continued the theme ont our freeform pendant bale.
